In this project students will learn to evaluate information in non-fiction text.Students will write formal summaries that include an introduction, a supporting paragraph, and a conclusion. Students will analyze texts by using organizational features and text structures of non-fiction text to determine the main ideas and important details. Students will apply their knowledge to read three non-fiction articles on an earth science topic of their choice. They will write a summaries of self-selected articles and create a Keynote or Powerpoint presentation about the topic.
